About Optimal Displays' Graphics

Our print team comprises of 35 highly qualified members of staff!

We print on a material called POLYTWILL, this is a woven fabric comprised of 100% polyester weave.
This material is fire-retardant and machine washable, so if they get dirty just chuck them in the washing machine and you can even iron them when they get out!
The print process we use is called dye sublimation, we do NOT print with solvent inks and our substrate does not contain any CFC’s as with PVC banners- making our print a GREEN PRINT!




Lead Times

We aim to deliver your graphics within 7 days of you signing-off the proof we have supplied, as detailed below. 80% of our banners are delivered within 3 days of ordering!

 

Graphics Specifications

At Optimal Displays we use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign on our Macs. We can accept files in any formats supported by these programs, but for best results we recommend you save your files as either PDF or EPS. Please convert all text to vector graphics/outlines and embed all images.

Your artwork will need to be at least 300dpi at 100% and must be saved as CMYK; please convert all other formats (eg RGB / Pantone spot colours) before sending the files to us.

Bleed and crop marks - these are not required, please send your file in the exact size that you require and we will do the rest.

If you are sending files from InDesign we ask that you package the files with all of the fonts and images you have used. If in doubt, please export the files as either PDF or EPS.

We can accept many other industry standard file formats, but please call 01353 668045 before you send your artwork to confirm.

Please provide us with colour examples if specific colour matching is required.

Sending Your Graphics

To upload your graphics to our FTP site, please e-mail us at sales@optimaldisplays.co.uk quoting your order number, and we will create a folder for you and send you the necessary login details.

To log on to our FTP site you'll need to download and install an FTP client. We recommend smartFTP for Windows, which you can download HERE, or Cyberduck for Apple Mac's (they're both free).

Log in with the username and password we have given you. Upload your files to the folder we have created for you and then send us an email or call us to let us know.

Not using our FTP site?

If you would prefer not to use our FTP Site to upload your files, we can accept your graphics on any of the following media:

- CD
- DVD
- USB Key
- SD Card
- XD Card
- Memory Stick
- Memory Stick Duo
- Memory Stick Pro Duo

PLEASE BE SURE TO INDICATE YOUR ORDER NUMBER WITHIN YOUR FILE NAMES AND ON YOUR MEDIA.

We are happy to return your media to you on request, please provide a return address for this if this is the case.

 

Once We Have Received Your Files

A proof will be supplied for you to sign-off prior to commencing printing. Please note, that we will not start printing until we have received your acceptance of the supplied proof. Should your graphics not be suitable for printing, we will inform you of this as soon as possible. If you wish, we can make the necessary modifications to your graphics on your behalf; the charge for this service is £50 per hour.

 

When You Receive Your Graphics

In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your completed graphics, we will replace any items which fall below our quality control standards or are deemed to not bare a true likeness to the original proof supplied.

IF, HOWEVER, THE COMPLETED GRAPHICS ARE DEEMED TO BE OF AN ACCEPTABLE STANDARD AND LIKENESS TO THE SIGNED-OFF PROOF, REPLACEMENT WILL INCUR ADDITIONAL CHARGES.
